Whether you're new to the commissioning process or have brought many projects to life, the resources on this page from ACO and our partners offer tools and perspectives to guide the conversation forward.
Designed for both music creators and their collaborators, Anatomy of a Commission aims to provide transparency about the commissioning process, informed by a variety of field-wide insights and perspectives. Joined by partners American Composers Forum and National Sawdust, “Anatomy of a Commission” will amplify the powerful impact of collaborating with living creators to encourage equitable experiences and an overall expansion of commissioning efforts.
National Co-Commissioning Hub
The National Co-Commissioning Hub is an online forum for orchestras, composers, and commissioners to discover, initiate, and/or join consortium commissions throughout the US. The Hub is administered by the American Composers Orchestra, was initiated with ROCO, American Composers Forum, and New Music USA, and is a resource within ACF's Anatomy of a Commission initiative. Posts are available for public view, and can be created by any registered user.
