Compensation: $15/hour

Format: Remote/Hybrid (presence in NYC preferred)

POSITION SUMMARY

American Composers Orchestra (located in New York City) seeks a part-time Programs Intern. As Programs Intern, you will play a vital part in supporting the administration of ACO's EarShot initiatives and public-facing communications. Reporting to our Program Manager, you'll dive into a world where your creativity and organizational skills will shine.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Support

  • Track guest artists’ and composers’ contracts; manage travel logistics and communications
  • Assist the Program Manager and Development Director by providing artistic program data required for grant proposal renewals and reporting
  • Support EarShot recruitment efforts by creating promotional materials and processing applications
  • Support Program Manager and Operations and Production Manager with production logistics for concert and rehearsal venues, including prospecting, scheduling, equipment needs, dressing room space, technical capabilities, and safety protocols
  • Collect and distribute guest artist and composer headshots, bios, and program notes
  • Assist the Operations and Production Manager to provide on-site production support for the annual gala and other cultivation events
  • Support program assessment with survey creation, dissemination, and analysis for EarShot programs and all online programming

Communications

  • Implement website updates
  • Draft, design, and send email campaigns
  • Use Canva to design graphics for web/email/socials
  • Edit concert programs
  • Assist in creating reports on engagement with social media, email, and website content
