Lili Masoudi
Lili Masoudi (age 15) is a composer and pianist originally from Montreal, Quebec who currently lives in Cranford, New Jersey. They’ve studied classical piano since age 5, switching their focus to jazz at 11, around the same time they began composing. They attended the Boston University Tanglewood Institute in the summer of 2022 and are a member of the New York Youth Symphony Composition and Apprentice Conducting programs. A writer and visual artist, Lili is often inspired by literature and visual art, and seeks to fuse elements of improvised vernacular music and Persian classical music with the Western classical tradition and create immersive sensory experiences through sound.
