Derek Bermel Appointed Artistic Director
At its spring gala, ACO announced that Derek Bermel will become its next Artistic Director. Bermel takes the reigns from Robert Beaser. Bermel has a 20-year history with the orchestra that began when he was a participant in the emerging composers readings.
The orchestra also announced that conductor George Manahan has renewed his commitment to ACO as Music Director for an unprecedented five years.
